Two people were seriously injured in a caravan rollover in the Maranoa on Saturday afternoon.

LifeFlight's Roma-based Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) chopper was called to the scene of the accident around 3:30pm.

The aeromedical team worked with Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics, Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) personnel and Queensland Police Service (QPS) officers.

A man, aged in his 60s and a woman, aged in her 50s, were trapped in their vehicle and had to be cut free before being flown to hospital under the care of LifeFlight's Critical Care doctor and a QAS Flight Paramedic.

RACQ LifeFlight Rescue report that the pair were both transported in a critical but stable condition.
